prize.ird.gov.np.
1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Nepal Bill Scanner: Tax Prize mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any portion of these Terms, you must not use the App.
2. Purpose and Description of Service
Nepal Bill Scanner: Tax Prize is an educational and workflow convenience tool designed to help Nepali consumers:
- Digitize and organize legitimate tax/VAT invoices using OCR scanner technology.
- Track bill eligibility in accordance with Nepal's fortnightly lottery calendar (1st and 16th of each Nepali BS month).
- Pre-fill user contact information onto the official Inland Revenue Department submission portal (prize.ird.gov.np).
- Store and monitor submission token numbers issued by the IRD portal for lottery draws.
3. Receipt Authenticity & User Responsibility
You agree and represent that:
- You will only scan and record genuine, authentic tax/VAT receipts received from lawful commercial transactions in Nepal.
- You are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all submitted details, including the Seller's PAN, bill date, bill number, and invoice amount.
- Submitting fraudulent, altered, fabricated, or duplicate bills is strictly prohibited by Nepalese law (Value Added Tax Act, 2052 and Income Tax Act, 2058) and may subject you to statutory civil and criminal liabilities under Nepalese jurisdiction.
4. Lottery Draws, Tokens, and Prizes
Please note regarding the lottery program:
- Nepal Bill Scanner: Tax Prize does NOT conduct lottery draws, issue lottery tokens directly, or award cash prizes.
- Tokens are generated directly by the Government of Nepal's IRD web server upon successful submission and human verification.
- Lottery results, prize amounts (e.g. up to NPR 100,000), eligibility criteria, draw schedules, and award disbursements are exclusively determined by the Inland Revenue Department (IRD), Nepal.
- We cannot guarantee that any submitted bill will win or that the government portal will remain online or uninterrupted.
5. Advertisements & Monetization
To keep the application free for consumers, the App may display banner ads, interstitial ads, or user-initiated rewarded video ads supplied by Google AdMob. Viewing a rewarded video ad is optional and helps sustain server costs and AI OCR computing expenses.
6. Intellectual Property
All software code, graphic designs, interface layouts, logos, and documentation related to Nepal Bill Scanner: Tax Prize are the proprietary intellectual property of the developers. Trademarks of third parties (including IRD, Government of Nepal, Google, and Android) are the property of their respective owners and are referenced solely for descriptive and identification purposes.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Under no circumstances shall the developers be held liable for:
- Any loss of lottery prizes, unaccepted tokens, or missed draw deadlines caused by government portal downtime, network failures, or user typographical errors.
- Inaccuracies in OCR optical character recognition due to wrinkled, faded, or low-resolution receipt images.
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the App.
8. Termination and Account Deletion
We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to any user who engages in fraudulent activity, attempts to exploit our AI OCR endpoints, or violates these Terms. Users may discontinue use and delete all associated data at any time via the in-app settings or our Data Deletion page.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nepal. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Kathmandu, Nepal.
